Day 226 – Grace for Grace!!!

Grace for Grace!!!
John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”  And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him……… John 1:15-18
In our last study, we looked deeply into The Law and The Grace. We saw why God gave the Law and how the Law could not lead us to a life that please God because of the weakness of our flesh. We also saw what Grace means and the mark of a Man who is living under Grace. Today, we shall go further to look at what John the Baptist said concerning Jesus Christ and how we have received Grace from Christ fullness.
John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.: we all know that Jesus was born to Earth some months after the Birth of John. Yet John recognized that Jesus has a higher rank than Him. He recognized that Jesus existed before Him in all eternity. He was not just joking about it, He cried out loud to say it. He was not drawing people after Himself. He made it so clear that Jesus was far above Him. John said to those who came to Him,” I indeed baptize You with Water. All I have to offer you people is ordinary water. But there is someone coming after Me that is Mightier than I” we must always recognize that whatever we have to offer to people can never be compare to what Christ has to offer. All the gifts and abilities we have is like ordinary water compare to what Christ has in Stock. I have heard Preachers who magnify their suit and anointing oil. They speak so highly of the testimonies they have received from the use of it. Such Preachers should run to John the Baptist to learn that All that they offer to people is inferior to what Christ has to offer. The closer we come to know the Lord, the more Humble we become. The more we get to know God, the more we discover our unworthiness to be involved in His Service. As great as John the Baptist was, He recognized that He was not Worthy to carry Jesus Sandals. John the Baptist was 6 months older than Jesus, Yet He recognized that He was not even qualified to a dirty job of carrying Jesus sandals.!!!Shame on Us if we think it is a Dishonor to us if we are asked to Wash the Toilet, sweep and mop the floor in The Church. We are to say Like John ” I am not Worthy, Oh Lord to wash the Toilet of the Church. I am not qualified to Sweep or Mop the Floor. I am unworthy Oh Lord!!” Let us see it as a great privilege whenever we are called upon to do any Job for the Lord even if it is washing of Church Toilet.

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for Grace : Individually, we can now all partake of the fullness that was in Christ. This is the good news that the same Grace that was Manifested in Jesus life from His Birth to Death can now be Manifested in us too. The same Grace that was upon Him from his childhood(Luke 2:40) to the time when He tasted death for every Man(Hebrews 2:9). That same Great Grace that does not allow Sin to have Dominion over ones life can now be received from Christ.

If we don’t receive Grace from Christ, we become Merely Admirers of Jesus instead of followers of Jesus. What is the difference between an Admirer and a follower of Jesus? An Admirer of Jesus Christ is a person that recognizes that the Glory of God was seen in Jesus and that He lived a wonderful life and so Holy, so pure, Humble, loving, and says every good thing about Jesus and then conclude by saying, “Of course we cannot be like Him at all”. But Jesus never says to His Disciples, “Admirer Me, Admirer Me, Admirer Me!!!” He always said to His Disciples, “Follow Me, Follow Me, Follow Me!!!” This is what the Christian world today needs to realize that we are not called to admire Jesus but to follow Him. We of course worshiped and Admirer Him but all our worship must lead on to following Him for this is what we are called for primarily. This is when our worship becomes meaningful.
No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him: This is one of the reason why Jesus came to Earth as a Man. If he had come as a spirit, nobody could have seen Him. A Leper would not have felt the touch of his loving hand, the sinful woman caught in Adultery would not have heard that comforting words from his lips “Neither do I condemn you,” Go and Sin no more “, for a Spirit cannot speak without a tongue. God has been explained to the World by Jesus. Not in Words by by His Life. Jesus has come as a teacher to explain God to us by His life. But now Jesus has died and risen again and gone to Heaven and we who are believers are called the Body of Christ. Our calling is exactly the same as Jesus was. That is to explain God to people. Not to explain from the pulpit which is easy, but to explain God by our life. when we manifest Grace and truth in our lives, we explain to other people. If only we would realize that this is our calling. The Church is called the body of Christ because it’s function is exactly the same as the first body of Christ which is the one Jesus got through Mary. Through his eyes, tongue, hands and every part of his body, desires, passion in that body, He Manifested Grace and Truth so that people could understand what God was like. Now we also have been given a body and we can also with our hands, eyes, tongue and other parts of our body, we are to continue the Ministry of Christ which is to manifest Grace and truth and the Glory of God once again. Jesus says in John 9:5 ” As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world” and in Matthew 5:14, He said to his Disciples, “You are the Light of the World”. Now who is the light of the world? Is it Jesus or His Disciples. It is so clear from this verse that it is now the Disciples for Jesus has gone up to Heaven. He is no longer in the world. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father. Arise oh Disciples of the Lord and let all those who come in contact with you see the Glory and beauty of God Manifested in your Character and speech!!!
Dear friend, Come boldly the the Throne of Grace to receive Grace for Grace for every need. The Grace of God has appeared to all Man to empower them to do what they could not do. Don’t come short of it!!! May the Lord give us a Hunger and thirst for this same Grace that will make us Explain the Father accurately to those around us through our lives in Jesus name. (Amen). God bless you. Have a blessed day.
