Day 130 – The Separation of the Sheep from the Goats!!!

. The Separation of the Sheep from the Goats !!!
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’  “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:  for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”…… Matthew 25:31-46
In our previous studies, We have been considering Parables that speaks about different areas in our Christian lives. We have seen the Parable of the Virgins which speaks about our inner life, we have seen the parable of the Talent which speaks about our responsibilities and accountability for the gifts God has given to us. Here we see a picture of how the Lord will judge the Nations and the emphasis is on our accountability to God on how we conducted ourselves in relations to other people who are in need around us particularly our fellow believers.
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.: A day is coming when the Lord will come to judge the whole Nations of the World. There is a Judgement coming when the Lord will come in His glory to give reward and Judgement for all we have done here on earth. If we keep this thought in our mind as we journey on Earth, it would save us from many Foolish things we do. When the Lord comes, He will separate two kinds of People, the goat and the Sheep. Right now, there is a Mixture between the Goat and the Sheep. We really cannot say who is a Goat or a Sheep, but in that Day, there will be no doubt. Once Jesus comes, He will make it very clear that these are the Sheep and those are the Goats. It is good for us to always examine our Lives whether we are Sheep or Goat. Sheep are innocent and Meek in nature. But Goat are stubborn and repulsive to correction.
Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: There is a Kingdom prepared for some people before the Foundation of the World. Before Genesis 1:1, God reserved something for certain people that He was Going to create. And it is for those who used their life in a particular way. It was for the Righteous who are considered as Sheep that this Kingdom was reserved. Those who are God’s children will be invited to come nearer to Him for a closer Fellowship and intimacy when He returns in Glory. Those who have longed for His appearance and conducted themselves in a Manner worthy of it will be called upon to come nearer onto Jesus When He returns. O How blessed are those Who are invited to Come Closer to Jesus in the Midst of Multitudes at the Judgement seat of Christ.
for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ ’: These are the things those that are called the Righteous do. They see Jesus in other people. Anyone would have gladly fed, clothed and visited Jesus Himself if He saw Jesus to be Hungry, Thirsty or naked. But the question is whether we will do the same for Any of Jesus younger brothers. When we do something for a Younger Brother of Jesus, even if it is a Cup of Cold Water, Jesus says You are giving it unto Him. For example, if you give me something in my hand, you are giving it to my whole body which includes My Head. So when you help a Brother in Christ, the Head takes note of it that You have done something for one of His body. So in short, Jesus was saying, “When You saw that Hungry brother and sister in Christ, it was me, when you saw that sick brother and Sister, it was me. Many have Misinterpreted these verse thinking it is those who do social works of giving to the Poor in general that would be saved and those who don’t will be lost. But read carefully, all the foolishness comes when people don’t read the Scriptures carefully. Here, Jesus says, ” inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these MY BRETHREN, you did it to Me”. Not to everybody you see on the street, not to all beggars you see on the road. Jesus Limited it to certain category of people called, “MY BRETHREN”. Who are the Brothers and Sisters of Jesus? Jesus already defined that in Matthew 12:48-50 which says, ” Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.” The Brothers and Sisters of Jesus are His Disciples!!! Jesus was referring to those who have Helped His Disciples not those who have done social works. Well You may say, “Does God not care for the People of the World then?” Well, He certainly does!!! Galatians 6:10 says, ” Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” 1 John 4:20 says, ” If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” The test that we Love God is shown in our attitude to our Brothers and Sisters in Christ whom You see regularly. There are many who claim to Love all Christians but can not help the ones in their local church whom they see regularly. Do you desire to serve the Lord?, then serve His People. Do you desire to do something for the Lord? Then do it for His People. The way You treat God’s People will determine whether You are a Goat or a Sheep on the day of Judgement.

It is interesting to notice that the Righteous asked a Question, they said ” Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’” When the Lord reminded the Righteous of what they did for Him, they were Like, “Lord, when was that? We can’t remember we did something like that” The Righteous are people who don’t keep a record of the Good they have done. Whereas, in Matthew 7:22-23 we read of another group who were standing at the Judgement seat of Christ and they say to Jesus, “Lord, Lord, we remember very well all that we did in Your name, We prophesy, we cast out demons, we did many Miracles”. And yet the Lord says to me them, “Depart from Me, You workers of iniquities”. Do you keep a record of all You have done for the Lord, all the sacrifice You have made? Then You are probably in the category of people who are workers of iniquities. For these are the ones who remember. Or are you in the category of the Sheep who say, “Lord we don’t remember what We did in Your name”. The Righteous did not heal the Sick here, they only visited the Sick. Is it not funny? Those who healed the Sick ended in Hell and those who only Visited the Sick entered the kingdom. It is not a question of gifts and how much we did with it. It is a question of attitude of Heart. What is your attitude of Heart to believers around you? Even if you couldn’t not do much, at least did you show a concern and sympathy for them? This is the test to prove whether we Love God or not!!!
Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:  for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ : Here we read the Judgement of the Unrighteous who are the goats. It is exactly the opposite of the reward of the Sheep. If Jesus has been physically present they would have gladly attend to His needs but they did not recognize Jesus in His Disciples. This is the danger we are all facing. The Danger of of not recognising Jesus in His People. And those who have failed this test will be sent to the place prepared for the Devil and his Angels. Hell was not prepared for Man but as many who have given themselves to the Devil, they will always be where the Devil is. For where our Treasures are, that is where our hearts will definitely be. If you long for the things of the Devil, then you are in Fellowship with Devil and not God. And it would be so Unrighteous of God to force you to be in Heaven when You never wanted to be there!!!
Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”: This does not teach salvation by Works. Salvation is by Faith. But James 2:14 says, ” What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?”. James 2:14-17 says, ” If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?  Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. True Faith produces Works of Righteousness in Love for other Younger Brothers and Sisters of Jesus.
Dear Friend, Change Your attitude towards the People of God. Change Your Attitude towards a True Disciple of God. God takes note of everything You do to one of His Brothers and Sisters. Even a Cup of Water given to a True Disciple of His will be rewarded. Look around You and Serve the people of God. Make it your habit to always Look for areas where You can be of Help to a True Disciple of the Lord. May the Lord open our eyes to see Jesus in His Disciples and give us Grace to be compassionate towards them(Amen). God bless you. Have a blessed day.
